After a 100 miles and being the cheapest kit on this site, it is still doing what it does! Given that this is a Japanese kit, the quality is 200% there! Contents came packaged neatly. It looked exactly like what was advertised. Instructions came in JAPANESE. *OH NO, WHAT DO I DO?!* Take a picture and use Google Translate to read the instructions. It tells you how to install it on your Grom or Monkey. For my visual learners, I looked as far and wide, but there’s no video out there that shows you how to install this specific kit, so you’ll have to use your imagination! I recommend watching a MNNTHBX install video to get the idea rolling. First time owning a motorcycle and the Grom being my first patient, this was really fun to install. It did take a bit of finagling to get the filter to sit right where I wanted it to. Had no idea you had to oil an air filter, so it was a good idea I did my research before installing and running my bike. Also, don’t forget to add a breather filter since this kit doesn’t have a port for the crankcase hose. DHMotoring sells the UNI breather filter that can go on your crankcase hose. I will say that it was a bit hard to get the filter facing the way I wanted it to. That’s my only issue, but that’s just cause of my ADHD. I have a Kemimoto frame slider kit installed and it gets in the way of the filter’s clearance. The filter sits a little on the top of the right peg of the frame slider. It isn’t noticeable when you’re on the bike or riding by. Still love it! This kit pairs nicely with the Yoshi RS-9T exhaust and the DHM Stage 1 ECU flash. I am now able to confidently zip around and keep up with traffic where I’m at without struggling. So if you’re not trying to break your bank and want to modify your air intake, I recommend this Kitaco UNI Filter Kit. Best bang for your buck!
